The course content addresses the fundamental needs of users involved in dynamic process simulation. Participants will learn the principles of dynamic process modeling using commercial simulators, with a clear introduction to the key differences between steady-state and dynamic modeling. In addition, essential control theory concepts are briefly reviewed.
To ensure an effective learning experience, all topics are developed through simple, practical, hands-on examples. Basic unit operations are introduced progressively, with the objective of enabling participants to build complete dynamic process flowsheets by ge by the end of the course.
Theory is used to define the objectives of each module and to support understanding of the underlying calculations. The application of key software functionalities allows users to evaluate operating alternatives for the process units under study.
